New data from the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention indicates that fleas from Southeast Asia, Brazil and Indonesia are responsible for nearly one-third of the 16.6 million cases of human diseases that are treated in U.S. health care facilities last year.

The CDC and the state of Pennsylvania began tracking infections with the flea-based virus on Nov. 5, 2016, but the new report, recently released by the United Nations Food and Agriculture Organization, reveals that about 7.4 million people contracted the human immunodeficiency virus, or HIBV, in 2015. The new report estimates that approximately 6 million people — or 22 percent of those who traveled to countries with the virus — contracted HIV during that time period.

That means the current number of cases from Southeast Asia and Brazil could top 20 million by year’s end and possibly double over the next two years.

These countries are in the midst of an HIV pandemic that began around 2008. Over the past decade, HIV rates dropped for many countries in East Asia, including Japan, Vietnam, Taiwan and India, the new report shows. But the spread of the virus to these other nations is at its highest ever, with an estimated 5.8 million new HIV cases each year.

“This is an epidemic that continues to be driven by the continuing global economic decline강원 랜드 바카라 of the industrialized countries, as well as로투스 바카라 대여 the continued rise in AIDS-related infections,” said Dr. Jeffrey M. Frieden, director of CDC’s Center for Disease Control. “The trend toward greater use of oral contraceptive pills, especially for young children, may be partially to blame in contributing to the rising number of new cases.”

The researchers used the disease registries and surveillance systems at 11 countries, including Indonesia, South Korea, Singapore and Philippines, and estimated the frequency and location of the virus and its hosts. The countries were selected based on a comparison of rates of new diagnoses and the number of cases that they accounted for — or did not contribute to — last year. They included two previously known HIV-affected regions where cases reached 20 percent of cases last year: Thailand and Myanmar.

One of the study’s findings: The current rate of infection in Southeast Asia and Southeast Asia-based populations represents about 2 percent of the re킹 카지노gion’s population of 36.7 million, more than the level from 2000.
